When Convalescence Goes Bad

| August 5, 2007 | Comments (2)

If they ever have a Geek of the Year award, Shamus Young just won it, going away.

I’m a geek, as anyone who knows me even a little will tell you in a heartbeat. I can’t even begin to compete with that post. Let that be a lesson to you. Don’t let a geek convalesce from surgery for too long. If you do, don’t complain when they start trying to figure out how to build an orbital laser out of a microwave oven, a roll of aluminum foil, a compact fluorescent light bulb, and a pack of fish sticks.

Oh, that isn't quite right–An old fashioned straight fluorescent tube, not a compact fluorescent. And the fish sticks are for lunch. Other than that, spot on….

Well, my estimations were strictly back of the envelope. And I am a music geek, which is a math-light species of geek.

I suppose you'd need the straight fluorescent bulb for the longer path it'd make available for the charge.

    And…Mmmmmm..fish sticks. :D
