CAIR vs The First Amendment (Again).

It’s not just bombs, beheadings, and Congressional Democrats the Islamists are using to try to force us into submission. They’re also very keen on using our own legal system against us.

Some of the Hot Air commenters are playing this threat off as no big deal because CAIR really doesn’t have a legal foot on which to stand. That’s not necessarily their game, though. The threat costs them nothing except the cost of a stamp and it carries the spectre of a protracted legal battle, which could cost quite a bit, even if CAIR loses. That’s not such a big concern for them, since they’re flush with cash from undisclosed donors. CAIR is hoping to scare the YAF enough for them to give in to the demands instead of facing a potential lawsuit. That could be a problem for the YAF, which isn’t funded by Middle Eastern oil gazillionaires, though from their short and perfect response they may be ready for a fight.

I almost hope CAIR decided to pick this fight. I’d like to see someone dismantle their anti-American, anti-freedom, Islamist-loving group right in front of our eyes. The sooner it happens, the sooner the MSM can put some moderate Muslim groups at the front of their Rolodexes.
