Hillary Moves to Lock in the Crazy Vote.
I wonder if he was sitting on a veranda drinking sweet tea when this happened:
Joe Wilson just endorsed Hillary during an ongoing conference call with liberal bloggers.
Wilson just said that “she is the one candidate in my judgment who understands the need to get America out of harm’s way,” and into a “political process.” He added that she best understands the need to “end the war but end it in a way that preserves some shred of our strategic position in the region.”
That’s the perfect guy to have Hillary’s back, a man who to this day says that the entire British government lied about Iraq’s attempt to get yellowcake uranium from Africa based on a trip where he barely got off his butt and did any investigation and whose findings actually confirmed the British intelligence report and contradicted his own New York Times editorial.
Of course, the Truthers, pathological Bush-haters, and those who are still delusional enough to believe you can negotiate with fanatics will be licking this up like kittens at a bowl of cream. I suppose in that sense, taking the bugnuts crazy vote away from John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich is worth having a Senate-confirmed liar and professional martyr at your back.
Me, I’d be afraid that I’d do something to hurt his pwecious widdle feewings and he’d go off and throw one of his public temper tantrums all over the Sunday pundit talk shows. But that’s just me.

Did you catch that little bit about getting America “out of harm’s way”. How, I wonder, does Wilson believe that can be done? For three decades, Islamists have had us squarely in their crosshairs and they’ve been steadily picking us off. You have to be either naive as an infant or a blithering fool to think that anyone’s going to get us “out of harm’s way” by using a “political process”. That’s not a knock on the Senator, though. I think she really does recognize that Islamists pose a threat to us. I don’t think for a minute she has clearly seen how much of a threat they are, even though she had a real close-up look at it during her husband’s administration.
I know Mr. Wilson has noticed either, otherwise he wouldn’t have said something that incredibly dumb. I want to be clear here. The only “political process” the Islamists recognize is one where they are in charge and he shuts the hell up and does exactly what they say or they kill him. It doesn’t take particularly observant person to notice that. You just have to get your nose out of the rear ends of the press and potential employers to see it.
