We now know that Iran, using their Hezbollah soldiers, killed five of our soldiers earlier this year.

This is not a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. Iran has been directly killing our soldiers in Iraq pretty much since we got there. The Iraqi interim government (that’s how far back this goes) was publicly naming Iran as directly involved in destabilizing things in Iraq. That passed and we along with the rest of the world did nothing at all about it. Iran’s gotten far more brazen. Now they think nothing of sending in their own people, their own equipment, and their own cash without even attempting to hide it.

Iran is actively waging war against two sovereign nations. They are killing our troops without hesitation or much resistance from our political leaders. We need to be doing something about that but, right now, the word “Iran” is barely on anyone’s lips. It ought to be. We ought to be hearing from Senators and Representatives every day about the rogue nation killing our troops. Shamefully, we don’t.

There is a lot we could do to knock the Iranian Despots from their positions of power. We can’t do any of them until we’re willing to name them and shame them publicly, without equivocation (which excludes every Democrat save Joe Lieberman and several Shrinking Republicans). We should be reading a new story about how they’ve killed another teenaged girl for defending herself from a rapist. We should be reading how that rapist isn’t considered a rapist in Islamist Iran. There should be a story every single day about how gays are killed for nothing more than being gay or how women live with the constant threat of death from the men in their own families.

We don’t, though, because that would look to the jejune leftists, their MSM lapdogs, and our alleged allies in Europe like “warmongering” and we’d never hear the end of it. Of course, more little girls would be executed, more of our soldiers would come home in body bags or missing limbs thanks to Iranian explosives, and more Iraqis would figure that living under the sword of their northern neighbor was just the way life was supposed to be. None of those things need to happen and we have it in our hands to change them.

Remember this, though. Every day that Mad Mahmoud and the Murderous Mullahs sit in power in Tehran is another day of death for our soldiers.
