Gore’s Eco-Rampage

Tim Blair on the blatant hypocrisy of Al Gore and the Deacons of the Church of Global Warming:

Has Live Earth performer Keith Urban sold his Bentleys yet? (Actually, merely selling those 12-cylinder babies won’t reduce C02 emissions; he must destroy them.) I’ve been trying to come up with a violently destructive Gaia-raping stunt for us to participate in on Live Earth day, but it is literally impossible for even several thousand non-millionaires to match Live Earth’s own level of eco-vandalism while remaining within their means and the law.

We’ve been out-carboned by Big Environmentalism. There’s simply no way we can come close to matching the colossal carbon output of Gore and his musical mates.

Blair is exactly right. I’ll bet good money that not a single person performing at Live Earth has given more than a passing thought to the damage they are, by their own calculations, doing to the environment.

I saw a commercial advertising the concerts that used the words “crisis” and “SOS”, complete with Morse Code. Gore has said that people are dying right now because of its effects. So how many people will die because of the carbon emissions of these mega-concerts?

I suspect, though, that the welfare of human beings are not high on the global warming worshipers priorities. So let me ask them about something they do care about. How many polar bears will die because of Live Earth?
