At Least He Speaks the Truth
God bless Newsweek’s Evan Thomas. He’s one biased son of a gun, but at least he doesn’t mind telling us he’s in the bag for the Democrats. Here’s an exchange with him and Inside Washington host Gordon Peterson:
Gordon Peterson: “What do you think, Evan? Are the mainstream media bashing the president unfairly?”
Evan Thomas: “Well, our job is to bash the president, that’s what we do almost –”
Peterson: “But unfairly?”
Thomas: “Mmmm — I think when he rebuffed, I think when he just kissed off the Iraq Study Group, the Baker-Hamilton Commission, there was a sense then that he was decoupling himself from public opinion and Congress and the mainstream media, going his own way. At that moment he lost whatever support he had.”
Silly me. I thought that journalists were supposed to report the news, not bash the President. Shows you what I know. I can’t help but wonder, though, if Evan Thomas and his fellow ink-stained wretches were laboring under the “Awwww..he’s such a scamp” exception from 1992 to 2000.
And speaking of that…how are things in the Balkans lately? I notice that Kosovo has yet to be granted self-governance by the UN, which has run the place since 1999, much less any sort of independent status. Seven years the Kosovars have been waiting to even get the chance to make a poor attempt to run their own affairs. No such luck for them. And KFOR still has troops (including, apparently, 1600 US troops) doing police work because, apparently, it’s tough to get a competent police department trained in seven years?
And they’re also finding weapons stockpiles and seizing weapons caches, as recently as a couple of months ago. And here I thought that hidden weapon stockpiles just popped up like magic. Who knew?

About Kossovo, though..the last thing I want is these people `running their own affairs.'
What we aided and abetted in Kossovo was a Muslim takeover and the ethnic cleansing of Christians from a part of Europe they had lived in for centuries…read up on it.
Kossovo and Bosnia have become European bases for jihad and have been heavily infiltrated by both the Wahabi Saudis and al Qaeda, who see this as a bonus both for startegic reasons and because of the `European' appearence of Kossovars and Bosnians..whom al Qaeda refers to as `White Moors.'
