Another Lebanese politician has been killed. This time, it’s a member of the Lebanese cabinet.

He was also conspicuously anti-Syrian.

Five politicians have been murdered in Lebanon in the past two years.

They’ve all been conspicuously anti-Syrian.

Saad Hariri, the son of the last Lebanese politician assassinated is blaming Syria for the attack. Syria has been deeply implicated in Rafik Hariri’s murder and that implication touched off the Cedar Revolution. The UN is supposed to be investigating the killing.

Thus far, the UN has done absolutely nothing.

Surprised, anyone?

In related news, Kofi Annan is carrying water for Syria vis a vis Iraq.

Because it’s exceedingly obvious that Syria is all about he peace and love.

You know, it strikes me that every time I see murder and terror in the Middle East, I see Kofi Annan in the middle of it defending the murderers and terrorists. He is not our friend and he is not our ally. The sooner we realize this, the better off we will be.

More immediately, the sooner we realize that Syria (and their masters in Iran) is being run by a despot and as long as he remains in power there, that nation will always be the enemy of the civilized and decent, the better off everyone will be.

Syria is not our friend. Iran is not our friend. We shuld not be treating them as if they were in any way legitimate. Not now, not until the Mullahs have fallen and Baby Assad is dead or on the lamb.
