Bring Them Home. Now.
Did you know that nearly ten days ago, Fox News reporter Steve Centanni and his cameraman Olaf Wiig were kidnapped in Gaza by unknown terrorists?
They are still missing.
Thus far, no terrorist group has claimed credit for this. No group has made any demands. The only person who has claimed to know about the condition of either man is Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who told Wiig’s wife a week ago that he was alive and well.
I have heard no world leader demand that Abbas use the contacts that gave him that definitive information to have either man, or both, released.
Thus far, the MSM has been terribly quiet about the kidnapping of one of their own. I have not seen a single substantive report from any major media outlet save Fox News (which is keeping the story low-key to help it’s own efforts to negotiate for the mens’ freedom).
Michelle Malkin is tired of the silence and is rounding up a blogburst to get the word out about Centanni and Wiig. She, along with her compatriots at Hot Air have been the best outlets for news on this story, which, quite honestly, is shameful.
There is no way that a blog – any blog – ought to be the go-to place for news about two kidnapped journalists. No way in the world. The silence shames the MSM and reactions like this, from a journalist who hates Fox because it boasts and lend no hand to help are reprehensible.
Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig must come home now. There is no other acceptable alternative.
Our State Department should send the message to Mahmoud Abbas that he will see not one more dime of American money until Centanni and Wiig are home, safe. They should tell him clearly that we will do everything in our power to ensure that no money, from any civilized nation, reaches his government until the two men return home, alive and unharmed. Period.

I totally agree with you.
What's going on with the MSM is that they are afraid, as always, of losing `access' if they actually dare to criticize the Palestinians….and remember,most of the guys who work for the wire services in the Palestinian areas are Palestinian approved Arabs who can be directly retaliated against if they don't toe the line. Hence, the silence. Just like the MSM knew perfectly well what Saddam was doing but kept their mouths shut about it.
As for the money, I agree with you, except I wouldn't have been giving the Palestinians anything in the first place. But this is our way of massaging people like the Saudis and the EU, which we apparently find necessary.
Heck we're giving Hezboallah/Lebanon $230 million..what was that somebody once said about `you're either with the terrorists or with us' and not giving aid to nations that harbor terrorists?????
Don't count on Abbas to do very much of anything. He's just a suit that Hamas allows to live because he brings in donor aid.
