I’m Back!
Yep, I’ve returned from Germany and Austria and I’m quite glad to be home. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed my time overseas thoroughly and will have plenty to say, over several posts, as I recap the trip and provide photos as well, but there’s nothing quite like sleeping in your own bed, drinking your own iced tea, and watching a television with more than one English-speaking channel (though watching The Rock dubbed into Italian and an episode of “The Flintstones” dubbed into German was particularly enjoyable. Fred really does sound more angry when he’s yelling at Barney in German).
Right now, I have about 700 photos I need to pull off the digital camera and rename, so I know what is what. I also have to spend a little time collecting myself and getting back into the swing of life back home. But over the course of the coming week, I’ll tell you all about the trip, the places we sang, the people we met, and why the next time I travel to Germany, I’m going to be a whole lot thinner.

You should try watching "The West Wing" in Slovak. It has a really strange feel to it.
I bet it does!
It's interesting watching programs with which I'm familiar dubbed into another language. I enjoy listening to the voice acting, just to see what that particular actor decided would be appropriate for the character. Apparently the actor dubbing Fred's voice decided that Field Marshall was the good way to go.
And by the way, thank you for the commentary you left to Miss C's posts here while I was away. I'm fortunate to have you reading and leaving your thoughts here.
Thanks!
