Sheik Nasrallah, the egghead leader of Hizballah, is now backpeddling as fast as the Israeli ground troops can drive their tanks into the streets of Lebanon. Disgarding his former “Bring it on, you Jew bastards, sons of infidel dog Bush/Satan,” rhetoric, he is now making a pathetic attempt to put a cheerful slant on yet another Arab militia’s complete and utter humiliation at the hands of troops of very young Jewish computer geeks. Nasrallah is spouting the usual florid war prose Arabs always use when they have suffered a bitter defeat in a war they have instigated. Winning really wasn’t important to us, because even though we lose everytime we start a war, God is really on our side. Nasrallah now says that “Our dogma and strategy is that when the Israelis come, they must pay a high price.” So far, 370 Arab dead and 34 Israelis. Nasrallah is the John Lovitz of the Arab world. While the sixth Sheik of Lebanon now claims that “A good fight is good enough,” we have yet to see evidence of Hizballah’s ability to fight a good fight. Hizballah couldn’t win a battle against a troop of girl scouts. Looks as if Hizballah is going to have to be content with the martyrdom, as usual. The one thing Arabs are good at is getting killed. Maybe this interferes with their ability to wage war correctly, if you worried a little more about saving your ass, you might live long enough to do a little damage to your enemies. I know, I know, the so-called Middle East experts are always claiming that we can’t win a war against people that aren’t afraid to die, but I think that is bull. American and Israeli troops don’t want to die, and we kill way more Arabs than they do us, maybe that’s the deciding factor.

In a letter to Lyndon Johnson, Ho Chi Minh said “If I kill one of your soldiers for every ten of mine that you kill, I will win.” As it turns out, Ho Chi Minh was overly pessimistic. We killed about 40 Vietnamese for every soldier we lost. And Ho Chi Minh still won, albeit posthumously. At the current rate, Israel is in trouble. This is already looking like a repeat of their previous disaster in Lebanon. Of course, it will be a bigger disaster for Lebanon, but Hezbollah will come out the winner. Israel needs to change their tactics and target only Hezbollah, rather than the entire country of Lebanon. But it seems winning in Lebanon is not really their goal. Their true goal seems to be drawing the US into a fight with Iran and Syria. On that front, they are having great success. And the Rapture freaks in the US are already loving it.
No, I said before that we need to drop a big fat bomb on the trouble spots. A decisive victory is more impressive than a wishy washy one. Trying to fight Hizballah with kid gloves only prolongs the conflict and encourages them. They are the ones responsible for the repercussions of attacking Isreal. I do not care one iota for the opinion on the Arab street. Their belief in terrorist tactics is getting them killed. The Vietnamese weren’t suicidal and they didn’t celebrate the deaths of their martyrs. The Vietnamese wanted a better life for themselves and their children. They actually had something to fight for. The Arabs don’t know what the hell they want, other than the destruction of another country and people. As for a common goal, the Muslims can’t have one, it is not in their culture, they are so jealous and worried about losing face that they never can work together for the common good.
Again, you seem to confuse Arabs and Muslims. The vast majority (95%) of Lebanese are Arabs, but only 70% of them are Muslims. Thirty percent of the Lebanese are Christians, and Israel is bombing them as well. Christians used to be a majority in Lebanon, but Israel’s last incursion there scared many of the Christians away (they were wealthy enough to be able to leave, unlike the Muslims).
You are right to say that the Arabs have a hard time uniting behind a goal, but Israel is making that unity come much easier. I know you don’t care about Arab opinion, but, sadly, this action is greatly increasing Arab support for Hezbollah. It went from a fairly small minority to an overwhelming majority in just two weeks. Many of the Christians in Lebanon now support Hezbollah, because they are the only ones fighting back. That should disturb us, but it doesn’t seem to.
As for bombing the trouble spots, is Tripoli really a trouble spot?
Hey, Saddam’s right hand man, Tarik Aziz was a Christian. Tom I think you worry way too much about what the Arabs think of us. Colateral damage is necessary and the if the Christians are suffering right now it’s because they support a Muslim terrorist group. You keep acting as if we actually can win the hearts and minds of the Arabs. You sound a lot like George Bush. Arabs are a very martial people and they only respect strength. They will not like us any better for trying to make nice. Trust me on another thing, I know Arabs, in their Muslim incarnations and all the other religious ones besides. I used to be a professional belly dancer for 5 years and have met Arabs from all Arab countries. I speak some Arabic as well and am very familiar with the Arab mentality, that is exactly why I know how irrational and closed to reason most Arabs are, no matter how nice they may seem on a personal level. I make a general statement, calling the enemy Lebanese, Muslim Arabs, because that’s who is the catalyst in the current conflicts Muslims, who are Arabs. The Christians would not be harrassing the Israelis and calling for its destruction. I notice that you never take offense when I call Jews, Jews, even though there are a multitude of racial and ethnic affiliations to which the Jews of Israel belong to, not to mention the great number of secularists in the Israeli government. You only worry about the Muslims. You don’t like Israel. That’s clear. You go on ahead and defend your Islamic buddies. Just cause they’ll kill you last, doesn’t make you their buddy!
Actually, I have made a distinction between Jews and Isrealis, and if you check your archives, you would see that. I have used the word ‘Jews’ as referring to the religion, not ethnicity. And I have used ‘Isreali’ to refer to citizens of Israel. As for my not liking Israel, you are dead wrong on that. It is the Likud Party and its policies that I do not like. And I am in agreement with Isreali members of the Labor Party on that. Are you saying that members of the Labor Party dislike Israel? I would hope not. I know my Israeli friends do not think that way. The reason I dislike the Likud Party is the same reason I dislike the Republican Party in the US. I think their policies are wrong and hurting their respective countries. If I disliked Israel, I wouldn’t care about how the Likud Party is hurting Israel. Similarly, If I disliked the United States, I would vote Republican to help bring the US down.
As for my defense of Islam, well I do have Muslim friends in Turkey, Pakistan, and Cambodia. And they are nice people. What really scares me is that a great many Americans seem to want to start a Holy War against Islam. Such a war against on sixth of the world’s population would be extremely destructive to our economy and it would be morally repugnant. So I try to make it clear that our enemies are Al Queda, Hezbollah, Saddam Hussein and the likes, not ALL Muslims. I also have an extreme distaste for Arabs because I find them to be rude and arrogant. And I can’t stand the fact that, due to our oil addiction, we have to enrich them. Even worse, they take that money we give them and use it to finance terrorism, which I abhor. So I make the distiction between the Arabs that I dislike and the Turks, Pakistanis and Cambodians that I do like.
People like their cars, we have been over this already. You think poorly of people that like to drive. Well on a scale I’d say that driving is not evil. China would be happy to pay for the oil that we don’t use. So we would give up something for no benefit in order to feel morally superior while the Chinese would fund terrorism against the US and other Western countries and zoom around in their cars while Americans waited in long lines for gas and buses. Sorry for this run on sentence, it’s my ghetto education showing, but you get my drift.
You said you have no kids so what do you care? We are at war with fascists that want to kill us and enslave my beautiful daughters and cover up their beautiful hair and circumcise them and marry them to abusers. I have a half Iranian daughter and a Sri Lankan/Hawaiian daughter. I am way more worried about the spread of fundamentalist Islam than about global warming. The threat to women from Islam is direct.
As for Arabs, most that I have known have been warm and friendly and open, but often they have been base religious hypocrites and addicted to every behavior they pretend to despise. They are brainwashed to the point of madness about the Jews and that is a tragedy. Most of them think that women are filthy beasts. They also have a victim mentality and are addicted to martyrdom.
I believe Islam to be morally repugnant. A demon worshipping death cult made up by a lunatic. Christianity has been defanged by wars and adjustments. It’s time to take on Islam and defang it too. As for a world war, I am for it and would participate in whatever capacity I could.
Wow, you really know nothing about Islam. Since September 11th and the all the FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) that has been spread about Muslims and the how they treat their women. Many Americans have begun to actually look into Islam and try to understand it. Do you know what the result is? A huge increase in conversions to Islam. Infact, Muslims were supposed to become the second largest religon in the United State by 2005. Instead they reach that milestone in 2003. A majority of those conversions were WOMEN. What does that tell you? Oh and while we are on the subject circumcison (of girls) is NOT part of Muslim tradtions. In fact the “full” circumcision that I believe you are reffering to is AGAINST Islam. Abuse of women is also AGAINST Islamic principals. Do yourself a favor and stop spreading FUD. In doing so you are imploying one of Hitler’s main stragies, which was to convince the Germans that Jew (and others) were morally corrupt dirty people who deserved to die. Now your going to say that I cannot compare the poor Jews to the Arabs/Muslims who want to kill. Besides being ignorant and closed minded such a response would not take into account the fact that Jews also fought back, remmber the Warsaw Ghetto? Jews fought back the Nazis for quite some time (as they should have). Currently many Muslims believe that they ARE fighting back. Don’t forget that for many decades the west had colonized Arab/Muslim countries. (One thing I will say about Arabs is that they never forget) This cause grave problems for Muslim nations, ones which they are still dealing with today.
If you want to talk about rape, how about you look at the stories in Iraq, where derange US soldiers are tainting our image around the world by rapping Iraqi girls, killing familes, and sexually abusing prisoners. Maybe you should check your facts and find out where you are getting your information. It would be sad if you followed in the footsteps of Nazi soldiers, believe what you were told and urged the genocide of an entire people simply because you saw them as morally inferior. ( That is after all what the whole world pledged they would not allow to happen again after seeing the devistaion in the Concentration Camps.)
