Daou to Clinton! Next Choice in the “Hire a Blogger for Your Presidential Campaign Draft”…John Kerry.

Well congratulations, Mr. Daou.

WASHINGTON, June 26 — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign has hired Peter Daou, one of the most prominent political bloggers in the nation, to help disseminate her message in a forum that has not always been that hospitable to her.

I think the Senator has hired a good man for the job. I’ve read Peter Daou’s work on Salon.com for a little while now and, though I rarely agree with his conclusions, he comes by them far more honestly than just about any other blogger on the left. He also strikes me as a good guy to sit down with and have a beer or two and some wings.

I’m also quite thankful for the links he sends my way, legions of drooling moonbats in my comment sections notwithstanding. A guy likes to be read and he doesn’t hesitate to link when he thinks I’m worth reading. It’s funny to me that of all the big-traffic blogs out there, the one that links to me most consistently is on a pretty liberal news and opinion portal. I’m not sure what that says about me, if anything.

So congrats, Mr. Daou. I hope you help the Senator run a campaign that’s almost good enough to win her the Presidency!
