Kerry Spokesman Shows His Class

What in the HELL??

“The closest Karl Rove ever came to combat,” said Kerry spokesman David Wade, “was these last months spent worrying his cellmates might rough him up in prison. This porcine political operative can’t cut and run from the truth any longer.”

This guy is a spokesman for a US Senator and this is his reaction?

First things first. The “chickenhawk” is perhaps the most intellectually vacant way of dealing with supporters of the war I’ve ever heard. I consider it so lazy that the moment someone uses it, I consider them unable to argue cogently about anything.

Second things second. When did it become proper comportment for the spokesman of a United States Senator to make prison sodomy jokes about a political opponent? I have no doubt in my mind that’s what he means by “rough him up”. Is gay prison rape now in play for the Democrats because if so, they’re going to get “roughed up” in the next couple elections by the Republicans. Metaphorically-speaking, of course.

Thirdly, how in the world is Rove’s weight relevant at all to the discussion? Have we gotten to the point where “Yeah? Well, he’s fat!” is what substitutes for an actual argument among the Democrats? Again, I’m not sure he wants to start banging on people’s physical appearances, considering his boss.

This statement was a shoddy display from a sloppy mind. Instead of commenting on the substance of the news, he chose to sling inappropriate schoolyard insults. John Kerry can find a better spokesman, and he certainly should. Immediately. Democrats with any integrity whatsoever should demand it.
