Just for the record, Britt Hume is my favorite newsman. He is, by far, the most evenhanded anchors I’ve seen on television in some time. Despite his obvious political leanings, he doesn’t often let them slip into his reports, holding them back for the panel discussions that happen at the end of his shows (and on the weekends, when he’s a guest on the panel). Young reporters could learn a lot about how to keep opinions and news separate and how to remember which one you’re being paid to do.

  2. Brit Hume

There’s an excellent article out on Brit Hume today. You can access it through here, a take with which I agree.

Your comments about Brit pretty much mirror my own thoughts. His calm yet strong demeanor make him an both an excellent source of information and someone I really enjoy watching. All anchors bring their political views to the desk; I really think Brit does a better job of keeping his in check than many.
