From the “Yeah, Right” Files

Kos says, “No one ever writes a book to make money”.

Ann Althouse disagrees, and calls as her first and only witness Samuel Johnson.

I say, no one except the truly vain, someone who can get a book published without much writing talent, or crazy-eyed fanatics write a book to make money.

I’m not which category Kos falls into. Perhaps all three. His rationale for writing?

Rather, we wrote the book to give the progressive movement a swift kick in the ass. And given our confrontational, no-holds-barred style, I expected a great deal of hostility.

It’s going to be hard to deliver that kick if the people being kicked have no idea that it’s happening. Kos, my man, they have to read your book to know that you’re excoriating them. Otherwise…well…you’re just some guy with a tirade and a Big O-Fer record with the candidates you back.
