Was it The Nominee, or The Fight?

In fact, with Roberts perhaps only 80% to actually overturn Roe (who really knows???), I put Miers at 90% to do so.

The "fact" is MY estimate. There is no "fact" about the future decisions of an SC Justice. That's where uncertainty comes in.

We can NOT get the Schwinn until Roe is overturned. NONE can give it to us in the nomination, unless a Brown or Luttig is willing to go on record in the hearings against Roe, and endure The Fight.

The Gang of 7 (of 14) seem to say Bush & Reps would lose such a fight. (I want the Fight — and to Win.) I blame the Gang of 7 of 14.

As long as Mrs. Unknown Texas Lawyer-chick upholds the constitution, I am satisfied. I don't care about anything else, really.

If she pisses off MoveOn.org, that's a plus too.

I wish W would have appointed a non-lawyer conservative constitutional scholar or something like that to really tell everyone everywhere the Supreme Court is about deciding constitutional issues.
