News on the Pope's Condition

| March 31, 2005 | Reply

ABC news is reporting right now that Pope John Paul II’s condition has worsened considerably this afternoon. The report, which comes from a very reputable news agency in Italy, says that the Pope is running a very high fever, possibly caused by a urinary infection.

If I see or hear any more news, I’ll pass it along.

UPDATE: It appears the Pope suffered heart failure during his treatment. He is alive, and conscious, but in “very grave” condition. He was given the last rites. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s in danger of imminent death, but it’s still not a good sign.
