John? Mr. Senator? Hello?

I’m not an especially smart man, so could someone explain to me what John Kerry was doing in Syria?

The Democrat senator said there were “areas of mutual interest and some common concerns and some possibilities for initiatives that could be taken in the future to strengthen the relationship between the USA and Syria”.

Damascus is accused of failing to stop insurgents crossing into Iraq, interfering in neighbouring Lebanon’s political affairs and of pursuing a programme of weapons of mass destruction.

“Obviously there are still concerns but I came away confident that (Assad and Shara) are interested in moving in the right way and I am hopeful that we will.”

Concerns. There are concerns.

Well, sure, I guess you could call actively helping terrorists kill Americans in Iraq a “concern” if you want to.

Yasseen also said he got permission from Saddam — while the former dictator was in hiding after his ouster by the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 — to cross into Syria and meet with a Syrian intelligence officer to ask for money and weapons.

John Kerry – again he’s somewhere out in deep water flailing around and desperately not trying to look like a wounded seal. Can someone please toss hima lifering and bring him back to the ship before he does something else incredibly stupid?
