A Couple Random Blogging Complements

Can I give complements to a couple of my very favorite bloggers? Well, sure I can since this is my blog and all. It was a rhetorical question (for those of you who shouted “No!” when you read that question, and you know who you are!).

First, Michelle Malkin. Yes, she’s smart. Yes, she’s a heck of a writer. Yes, she’s a certified Media Goddess. Yes, she’s a Big-Name Author. But better than all of that, or perhaps what makes all of that so much better is that she’s a real, honest to God, blogger. I don’t just mean that she runs a weblog. After all, lots of folks who are great writers, published authors, media deities, and the like have weblogs and ever post daily. But Michelle’s a real blogger. She reads blogs. She knows about links and trackbacks and hat tips. She spreads the love and, in doing so, amplifies the conversations in which she participates. She’s even been known to comment on other blogs. My hat’s off to her. some of you might not think this is a big deal but if you can find more than a couple othre folks who have in a similar situation who get blogs as well as Michelle has, then you’ve really accomlplished something.

Second, The Anchoress. Mark my words, discerning readers, that lady is on her way to blogging stardom. She’s a very strong writer, has a live sense of humor, and finds the heart of the subject of every subject on which she writes. She has great instincts and can occasionally knock you right out of your chair with one of her post. I’m predicting very big things for her, should she wish to reach for them.
